Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced SEO Specialist to join our team.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative creative shop and involves a variety of projects, interacting with several different members of our design, web, and account teams. We are a tight-knit group of creatives and brand craftsmen who approach our work with talent and passion. 

Candidates must possess a desire to build their department, constantly improve, and seek out opportunities to help us grow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an SEO and SEM program within our company from scratch including what tools to use, processes, presentations, reporting, KPIs, pricing, etc.

  • Develop trusting relationships with your clients through a talent for leading relevant calls/meetings, projecting knowledge authority, listening, and producing results

  • Interact with clients in a wide range of fields to understand their unique business goals

  • Analyze a website's performance, identify weaknesses and develop solutions

  • Research keywords and incorporate them into website content that is helpful to its audience

  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns

  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns

  • Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies, ensuring appropriate payment processes are followed

  • Produce strategies that effectively improve client SEO/SEM results in measurable goals

  • Keep clients updated on their progress and personalized strategies

  • Stay up-to-date on the parameters used in SEO/SEM and implement best practices accordingly

  • Optimize copy and landing pages

  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links

  • Communicate needs, successes, and challenges to management

  • Manage your time to meet deadlines efficiently

  • Communicate with other team members to effectively resolve issues quickly

  • Maintain timesheets with project statistics and keep task lists updated

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns 

  • Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across multiple platforms

  • Experience with bid management tools

  • Experience with website analytics tools

  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition

  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods

  • Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry

  • Familiarity with WordPress

  • Experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics

  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and/or Google Docs equivalents

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

  • Basic commercial copywriting skills

  • Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional standards for quality and attention to detail

  • Attitude of generosity and kindness and the desire to be a team player

  • A keen eye for grammar, proofreading, spell checking, etc

  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, quickly, and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and attend meetings on time

  • Anticipate potential issues and problem solve, understand the global brand picture

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO/SEM

  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating reports

  • Strong understanding of local search

  • Google Certification

  • Hubspot and/or YouTube optimization

  • Understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Strong commercial copywriting skills

  • Familiarity with PandaDoc, Workamajig, Gmail, or Adobe CC
