Tether’s Seattle Studio is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support the Accounting team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small dynamic team that has exposure to a wide range of duties, such as: AP, AR, expense reports, payroll, travel and calendaring.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately manage and execute all A/P + A/R tasks including:
    • Generate client invoices based on Account Management input
    • Ensure clients pay Tether timely
    • Post vendor bills to the Accounting system after obtaining proper approvals
    • Post credit card charge
    • Ensure vendor bills are paid timely
  • Accurately post transactions in the correct amounts and in the proper accounting period, while adhering to the “matching principle” such that revenue and corresponding expenses are recognized together in the same period
  • Provide AP and AR reports for upper management’s review
  • Ensure any errors that occur are prevented moving forward and learnings are attained and communicated in a timely matter to the appropriate people
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality at all times in regard to all business and employee information including financial information, such as revenue, net income, salaries, hourly rates for contractors, employee and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) matters, etc
  • Ensure all files and backup documentation are organized and labeled correctly
  • Support various tasks related to budgeting and forecasting reports as needed
  • Back-up the Accounting Manager on payroll processing with efficiency and accuracy
  • Work closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager. Interact, collaborate and build relationship across the broader studio
  • Support CCO on various tasks, including calendar management, travel coordination and other projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable or Bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with Accounting software (Workamajig preferred), Excel and Word
  • Professional knowledge of general accounting principles in AP, AR and Payroll
  • Experience with booking travel and calendar management preferred
